EDUCATION EQUITY INVESTMENT IN THE WEST
The Andrews Labor Government has a track record in delivering for our schools.
Schools in the Western Metropolitan Region have received $247.695 million in equity funding. This needs-based funding is used by schools to introduce programs that help disadvantaged students achieve better results at school and reach their full potential.
Labor has also invested $21.930 million from the Campus, Sports and Excursions Fund and over 133,947 payments across the Western Metropolitan Region to ensure that every student, regardless of their background, gets the chance to go on camps and excursions.
More than 9103 students in the Western Metropolitan Region benefit from the State School Relief program each year, with more than 98,541 items of clothing distributed since 2015. This program assists in schools being inclusive environments. No family should have to worry about affording a uniform for their child.
There has also been over 687,000 breakfasts served to students in the Western Metropolitan region.
