Mr MELHEM (Western Metropolitan) — On another matter, the tragic terrorist act in Manchester yesterday claimed the lives of 22 innocent people, many young children, and over 50 people were injured. The only crime these people committed was going to a concert and enjoying their life in a civil society. The act of bastardry by these weak and cowardly individuals who claim to represent a particular religion — and I do not believe that religion condones those kinds of actions — should be condemned. I hope these acts of terror will be a thing of the past. We are able to deal with them.

I pass on my condolences to the people of Manchester and stand with them shoulder to shoulder to make sure we stand united to defeat ISIS and all terrorism around the world.
