M80 UPGRADE

Fixing the notorious bottle neck between Sunshine Avenue and the Calder Freeway – while the former Liberal state and federal government scrapped it the Andrews Labor Government is getting it done.

For the M80 ring road and the EJ Whitten Bridge (and the 165,000 vehicles that pass through it every day) this means more lanes, improved interchanges, an electronic freeway management system, public safety barriers and 15 minutes less travel time.

For the Victorian economy it also means 1,350 new jobs.

And the best part of it yet: work starts in just a few weeks.
