FRASER STREET RESERVE & MELTON AGED SERVICES CENTRE REDEVELOPMENT
The Andrews Labor Government delivers for the west once again.
Representing Minister Hutchins, today, along with the mayor for Melton Cr Sophie Ramsey, I had the pleasure of opening Fraser Street Reserve in Melton following upgrades made and announcing the completion of the Melton Aged Services Centre redevelopment.
Both projects were partly funded by the City of Melton and the Victorian Government through the Growing Suburbs Fund which contributed over $2 million in grants.
While Fraser Street Reserve has been equipped with new playground equipment, picnic facilities, BBQs and exercise equipment, the Aged Services Centre now enjoys increased office and reception space, new waiting areas, meeting rooms, group activity spaces, staff facilities, storage areas and a new family room.
The Growing Suburbs Fund helps Victoria’s 10 interface councils to respond quickly to the pressures of growth and change by fast-tracking local projects.
