OVAL UPGRADE TO BUILD SCHOOL PRIDE IN TARNEIT
Students at Baden Powell College in Tarneit will soon have the sports oval they deserve, thanks to the Andrews Labor Government.
Member for Western Metropolitan Cesar Melhem today announced the school will receive $161,000 to upgrade its sports oval. The Victorian School Building Authority will now work with the school to get the works started.
The Labor Government is working to strengthen community pride in schools and build sporting facilities for students.
It forms part of the Education State target of increasing the proportion of students taking part in physical activity five times a week.
The Government is building the Education State so that every Victorian student gets the opportunity for a great education and every community has access to a great school.
This school building boom has delivered more than 1,300 school upgrades and 70 new school projects across the state, supporting more than 5,000 construction jobs for Victorians.
